For a longer communication distance and to power the station to the car battery, attach the power adapter. It, compatible only with the PNI HP 72 station, has two connectors: the cigarette lighter socket for powering the car battery and the SO239 socket for connecting the station to an external antenna. |
UseRemove the TNC antenna and battery from the station. Connect the SO239 socket of the adapter to the PL259 socket of the antenna mounted on the car dome. Plug the cigarette lighter plug into the dedicated slot on your car. You can now use the HP 72 PNI station as a mobile station. |
