Types of gas detected

PNI Safe House Dual Gas 250 has the ability to detect:

- carbon monoxide (CO),

- natural gas (methane, propane, butane, ethane)

- gaseous hydrocarbons (propylene, butylene).

Be careful, the gas sensor does not detect smoke, fire or gases from categories other than those mentioned above.

Carbon monoxide (CO) 

Carbon monoxide (CO) is an odorless, colorless and tasteless gas, completely undetectable to the human senses and very toxic.

Carbon monoxide results from the incomplete combustion, in a place poor in oxygen, of fuels such as wood, coal, oil, kerosene, propane, natural gas, etc.

Potential sources of CO can be: wood fuel stoves and fireplaces, gas stoves and boilers, oil or coal stoves, closed garages, etc.
