Smart Carbon Monoxide (CO) Sensor

PNI SafeHouse HS281 is a smart carbon monoxide (CO) sensor that offers Wi-Fi connectivity and control via the Tuya Smart application. It is powered by two AA batteries (DC 3 V), and the audible alarm reaches a level of approximately 85 dB, with clear visual indications.

Audible and visual alarm

In alarm situations, the sensor transmits clear and distinctive signals. When the presence of CO is detected, the red LED flashes quickly four times every five seconds and an audible signal of four beeps is heard every five seconds.

In the case of low batteries, the yellow LED flashes once every 30 seconds, accompanied by an audible beep at the same rate.

Sensor errors are indicated by two yellow flashes and two beeps every 30 seconds. At the end of the sensor's life, the yellow LED flashes twice every 30 seconds, followed by an audible signal consisting of one long and one short beep.

Control via Tuya Smart

Connectivity to the Wi-Fi network is achieved through the Tuya Smart app. The user scans the QR code to download the app, then activates the location and Bluetooth functions on the phone. In the app, choose the “Add device” section, select “Sensors” – “CO Detector (WiFi)”, then enter the Wi-Fi network password (2.4 GHz). Press the button on the sensor three times until the green LED starts flashing quickly. The app confirms the connection, and the user completes the process by pressing the “Done” button.
