General functionality and connectivity

The PNI HS527 PRO flood detector is a device designed to detect the presence of water in vulnerable areas of a home or technical space.

The device operates on two 3V AAA batteries and is equipped with sensors that can detect both dripping and larger water leaks.

Configuration and integration into smart system

To communicate and send alerts to a smartphone or tablet, the detector connects to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. After installing the Tuya Smart mobile application, the user can receive notifications when water is detected, even if they are not at home.

Practical installation and use

The detector is designed to be mounted close to areas at risk of flooding, such as basements, near washing machines, sinks or near water pipes.

During operation, if water is detected, in addition to the audible alarm, the system will also notify associated devices through the Tuya Smart app interface.
