Multistandard and multiband CB station, use in the UK and anywhere in Europe, AM/FM modulation

By setting the norm and modulation, you can use the station in the UK and most European Union countries.

The PNI Escort HP 6550 is equipped with the main European bands ( EU, CE, UK, PL, I, I2, dE, In ) and with AM/FM operation.

Note: Before changing the modulation, check the selected standard. If the selected standard does not support AM modulation (such as, for example, CE, UK and dE 41CH-80CH standards), pressing the A/F key on the station will have no effect .

Dual squelch, SQ and ASQ. RF Gain function

The PNI Escort HP 6550 is enhanced with a 9-level configurable automatic digital Squelch and 28-level configurable manual Squelch . The RF Gain function (for controlling radio amplification during reception) is also configurable on 9 levels.

PNI VX6500, microphone compatible with VOX function and ANC filter

The VOX function allows the CB user to transmit automatically without pressing the PTT (Push-to-Talk) key. Transmission is activated when the sound (voice) exceeds a certain level.

To avoid accidental emission, the PNI VX6500 microphone has two VOX emission adjustment functions:

- VOX sensitivity adjustment function . 4 sensitivity levels are available. We recommend setting the microphone to sensitivity level 1 (the least sensitive), to avoid unintentional activation of the transmission in the presence of background sounds or secondary conversations.

- VOX delay adjustment function . This function sets the time between when you start talking and when the transmission is activated. There are 4 levels available. The shortest time is on level 1.

The PNI VX6500 microphone can be purchased separately.

Pre-installed echo and roger beep module

The PNI ECH01 echo and roger beep module was designed to work with any CB and VHF/UHF radio station as an additional module.

The module has the following main functions:
• Echo : Generating the echo effect of the signal captured by the radio station's microphone and inserting it into the modulation stage;
• Roger beep : Generate a personalized signal (via MP3 audio file) upon completion of the broadcast and maintain it.

Add these two new features to your station and you will make a difference: your received voice will be distinguished from the others by the echo effect, and the end of your broadcast will be marked by an original audio signal.

Connecting to a computer and copying custom sound

To write another sound (beep of maximum 1.5 seconds) edited in MP3 or WAV format, you must connect the PNI ECH01 module installed from the factory in the station via a micro USB cable to the laptop (computer) and activate the power switch.

In a few seconds, the laptop will find the xx MB memory, then, by normal copying, transfer the file to the PNI ECH01 module memory.

Do not forget to switch the PNI ECH01 module switch to the initial working position.

As a result, at the end of each transmission, you will also transmit the personalized audio signal that will be received by other CB users as an end-of-transmission warning.
