What does this product do

The TL-SF1008P is an 8-port 10 / 100M unmanaged switch that requires no configuration and has 4 PoE (Power over Ethernet) ports. It can automatically detect and supply electricity to all devices compatible with the IEEE 802.3af standard. In this situation, the electricity is transmitted together with the data in a single cable, thus allowing the extension of the network in areas where there are no sources of electricity, and there you want to install APs, IP cameras or IP phones.

How this product works

4 of the switch's 8 RJ45 ports with Auto-Negotiation support the Power over Ethernet (PoE) function (ports 1-4). These PoE ports can automatically detect and power IEEE 802.3af compatible PD (Powered Device) devices.

Operation in case of overload

The TL-SF1008P incorporates the priority function that helps protect the system in case of overload. If the total consumption of the connected PD devices is> = 57W, the priorities will be allocated for the PoE ports, then the system will interrupt the power supply of the low priority ports.

Priority function on ports

Priority (port 1 = port 2 = port 3> port 4): This function helps protect the system in case of overload, which means that port 4 will be interrupted when all connected PD devices exceed the total power consumption of 57W. For example, ports 1, 2, and 4 use 15.4W (maximum power per port is 15.4W), the total power consumed by the system is 46.2W. If an additional PD with a power of 12W is connected to port 3, then the device will cut off power to port 4 to protect the system, in which case ports 1 and 2 will use 15.4W and port 3 will use 12W, and port 4 will not. will be fed.
